set of values of quantities of the same kind that can be measured by a given measuring instrument or measuring system with specified instrumental uncertainty, under defined conditions

The measuring interval over which the performance characteristics of an IVD medical device have been validated has been called the reportable range.

The lower limit of a measurement interval should not be confused with the detection limit (A.3.14). See A.2.8 for further information.
