The projected costs or benefits may include external costs (3.1.35) (including, for example, finance, business costs, income from land (ISO 6707-1:2014, 10.1) sale, user (3.1.131) costs).

Note 2

Whole-life costing can address a period of analysis that covers the entire life cycle (3.1.60) or (a) selected stage(s) or (b) periods of interest thereof.

Note 3

This definition should be contrasted with that for life-cycle costing (3.1.63.1).
