In order to encompass all of the seven factors and their related factor categories (3.1.38), this definition is an extended version of the definition given in ISO 15686-2:2001, 3.3.5, [thus being in accordance with ISO 15686-1:2000, 3.1.2, where “in-use condition” is referred to as influencing any of the seven factors of the factor method (3.1.40)].
