In a sustainable procurement (3.38) context, fair operating practices can potentially extend to include the relationships between organizations, their suppliers and organizations and others that interact with the suppliers. These include interactions with government agencies, partners, suppliers, sub-contractors, and communities, with the aim of promoting a healthy relationship between the companies that buy goods (3.7) or services (3.23) and those providing them.
