Processes

(ISO 14040:2006, 3.11) providing a secondary fuel are considered from the point [i.e., system boundary (3.4.4)] where the secondary fuel enters the product system from a previous product system.

Note 2

Secondary fuels can be recovered from previous use or from wastes such as solvents, wood (ISO 6707-1:2004, 6.3.1), tyres, oil, animal fats.

Note 3

Secondary fuels can be renewable or non-renewable, depending on the status of the material before it became waste.
