For consideration of environmental impacts (3.17.2) and environmental aspects (3.13), the life cycle comprises all stages, from raw material acquisition or generation of natural resources to end-of-life.

For consideration of economic impacts (3.17.1) and economic aspects (3.12), in terms of costs, the life cycle comprises all stages from construction to decommissioning.
